Map publishing with SVG
Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) are ideal for publishing map data on the web, allowing
powerful dynamic scaling and positioning of vector objects via scripting.
In our view, many websites could vastly improve their usability simply by including this
kind of interactivity. We can offer advice and expertise in this area. In association with
Hampton Data Services, we have much experience particularly in the area of oil exploration
mapping.
In this demo, a simple outline of Africa is presented. Countries can be selected using a draggable
mask; upon releasing this the selected countries are listed in an output box.
