The Cathedral in Springtime
The Cathedral bells
The ladder isn't really the way up to the roof; we do use the stairs :)
Guildford: the North Downs Gap
The strategic and geographic importance of Guildford was partly due to its position in one of the gaps in the North Downs. In the case of Guildford it is where the River Wey comes through (the gap is in the top left of the picture); other gaps exist near Reigate and on the Medway. This image was taken from the Cathedral tower, 165 feet above Stag Hill upon which it is built.
